Overview

What do you do if you are on a bike ride, crash and are physically unable to call for emergency support? How do you get help?

A team of five, including myself, chose to tackle this problem head-on.

I functioned as a researcher, moderator, lo-fidelity designer, information-synthesizer and final report writer.

The solution was presented to UX professionals from Dell and HP.

Product

In an effort to empower users to feel safe when performing an activity and save lives, we designed a Medical Alert App, RED++, that monitors physical activity and alerts designated emergency contacts when vitals go out of range.

Design, Test... Design, Test Again

Sample Use Case/Persona: The Novice
    • Just starting to actively monitor his/her health when performing activities
    • May not be ready to jump headfirst into regular monitoring, but are interested in trying to maintain a record
    • May not know what is important to monitor or when his/her body is reaching its limits
    • Red++ will help them learn not only their own limitations, but also how their body is adjusting with regular activity
